Ok, I'm talking about Halo here, but I suppose if it does apply for Halo, then it'll apply for other games too.
Are games listed on the XBox from lowest ping to highest? Closed games I doubt are in any order, just stuck at the bottom with a (closed) tag, but are the open games in order?
If so, it'll definitely help me when looking for games in the NTSC arena

Ok, nobody knows for sure, np np...
I'm now pretty sure they are, I spent a little while sitting looking which games were where on my screen and comparing them to my ping in Kai... Took longer than I'd hoped since most people are unidentifyable by their XBox name, but still, I'm pretty sure they are |

Yeah.. I dont actually think it's by design in Halo - they wouldnt have even considered ping .. but I think that because of how Kai works, it ends up like that

I guess its just the fact that the games with the better pings reach your xbox first, and thats why they are in order.
If it does, it helps decide what game to join

Yeah, that's what I was hoping when I first thought of this. From what I've seen, it seems to be that way, but I guess I'll just have to play more and more Halo to really find out *sigh*
@ TD Yeah, I never thought of that, but I'd guess Halo will be designed to show the games that it sees first at the top of the list, and maybe refresh that each time a new game is seen?
Basically that is almost by ping I suppose, but in code is just putting a game to the next free space as it is seen.. That's how I see it anyway |
