Yes, i have.
I find it very strange. I´ve tried to shout off all my firewalls.
I have two, one in my router and one in norton, but it´s the same anyway. and i dont use the one in xp.
I´ve got a dsl router from that i go to a d-link 604, i use the d-link like a switch, and from that to my xbox. but i have tried whithout the switch to with same resoult.

Just a hint how i do:

I start the engine on my pc, then i start xbmc and goes to my program and start kaii.
A text shows conected to kaii sucsesfully, and i can se all games and friends and users arena etc.
then i chose a host in a arena for an exampel ghost recon 2 and chose( a made up name) jones arena, lets say i run that game sucsesfully. but next time i try another user it wont work, its only luck if it would.

I tried to forward port numbers 30000 and 3470 in udp , betwen the line xbc works all the time. But i rather use xlink kaii. If it works you dont have to run between pc and xbox.

Have you ever played wihout using XBMC? You're *NEVER* supposed to go to XBMC before checking if it works via the PC because we will refuse to support you if you haven't confirmed it working via the PC only.

I´ve tried to launch kai on pc.
everey things seems to be ok.

Network reachable: Yes

but my xbox is only found retail only.

i go to an arena and chose a game to join.
i walk in to my xbox and start the game that i chose, and of course i go to the system link and forward, but no arenas and users will show up!

so pc only have given me less resoult. but please help, i do what ever you tips me.

i have forwarded ports every where in my system but, fuck, it doesnt work.

If you use a software firewall, you will need to make sure of the following:

• The Kai application needs Internet access. If you receive a warning asking if you would like to block Kai from the Internet, please ignore it and grant access.
• If you own an XBox, you will need to allow the device with IP address 0.0.0.1 on port UDP 3074 full access.
Please note that disabling firewalls does not always mean ports are opened. They will still remain blocked while the firewall is disabled.

If the problem persists, we suggest you get some one-on-one support from here on in, so please fill in a Help Request form on the Official XLink Forums and post it into the Help Requests forum. A Team XLink moderator / administrator will try to respond as soon as possible, but no guarantees are made. To read about the Help Request System, please click here.

Step 9.

Do you use a software firewall, such as ZoneAlarm or Sygate Personal Firewall?

Yes (norton)
No

Step 8.

Are you using a wireless network card on the PC?

Yes
No

Step 7.
Now, enter Arena Mode (press the icon), navigate into an arena for a game you own, chat to some of the users, and try to join a game. Make 100% sure that the host of the game has their status set to 'HOSTING', and that other people are currently playing. Don't give up after one try. Try a private arena too (that's not passworded). Keep trying..

Were you able to play any games?

Yes
Yes, but only some games
No, I don't see any games on my TV
No, I get a 'failed to connect' / 'network connection error' message when joining

Step 6.

Now press the icon. Turn on your console, put in a system link game and have it search for system link games. How you do this depends on the game you use.

Do you see your console detected?

Yes, it says 'configured successfully' / 'configured retail only' Yes, but it says 'failed to configure'
No, it still says 'no consoles detected'

Step 5.

The next 2 questions assume you are using the Windows user interface (UI).

If you run Kai on a non-Windows OS, you can still use a Windows computer on your network to attach to the Kai Engine, even if it runs on a different OS. After logging in to the Windows KaiUI, press the icon and look for 'Network Reachable'. If you are unable to run the Windows kaiUI, you may ask somebody in Kai if they can see your ping or if your ping reports as 'Establishing'. If they tell you it says 'Establishing', select 'Not yet'.

Is your network reachable (as indicated by the UI)?

Yes
Not yet..

Step 4.

Have you connected your console to your home network and know it's configured correctly?

Yes I am positive it is correctly connected and configured on home network
No, not yet / I don't know how to connect everything

Step 3.

Have you downloaded and installed Kai for your Operating System?

Yes, it's downloaded and installed fine
Yes, but I don't know how to install it
No
I'm trying to use XBox Media Center (XBMC) to control Kai

Step 2.
Can you log in to the control panel to the right of this page?

Yes
No, I get the message 'account is disabled'
No, I get the message 'please check your details'

Step 1.

Have you registered for an account?

Yes, and I confirmed it
Yes, but I haven't confirmed it
No, I haven't signed up for an account yet

Double check your port-forwarding rules, or show us a screen shot?

Your XBox uses port 3074 during system-link, that's why I'm saying not to use it. Just leave your Kai Port as 30000, you only need *one* port-forward.

Xtreeme, i'm pretty sure it's a ZyXEL Router issue and perhaps a problem with ICMP.

I have from what I can tell the exact same problem to you, sometime (VERY Rarly) it works ok but mostly not.

My Post on the Subject here

You can tell if it's going to work as the host can see your PING.

Substituting the ZyXEL (662HW here) for an ADSL Modem or my other Router makes the problem go away without altering ANY other settings on my PC (ZAPro settings at default etc).

I am today going to try running Ethereal to see if the guys here can extract any useful data from what I get and try and resolve the "Too secure for fun" ZyXEL Router issues Laughing

You need to have your DSL modem in bridge mode, with your router logging in to it via pppoe.
