help me out. When I host a game every like minute or so it freezes for a bit. WHY?? it shouldn't lag when you HOST! is there something wrong with my cabling? or is it just my shitty-ass computer?

Your right if your hosting you shouldnt notice the lag...except by looking at other players jumping around.

try rebooting your PC and xbox, see if that solves the problem.

Try hosting less people Wink

If you try to host more people than your connection can handle, the host WILL lag.

speaking of lag, does anyone play us halo in the uk? i've got the us version but whenever i check pings they're always above 100ms, implying the people are either IN the us, or they're on slower connections.
my cousin's having the same issue, but i think he just got hold of the uk version. maybe i should too...

. [IXS]Porsj also has NTSC, and a few other people that I met in the arenas the other day...

I'm in the Halo arenas most nights (I usually start in NTSC and move to PAL later), so I'll probably see you there Wink

well i won't be online until 28th june (when my exams finish).
but from then on i'm gonna really get into kai, although my cousin's been playing and he finds xbconnect a better experience for halo - speed-wise and in the number of games being played.
but then kai is getting into the flow so i'm not fussed. besides, i always like getting involved with stuff like this in the early stages, so then i can see how it all progresses i guess...

plus i'm a bit too lame at halo at the moment so i'll need to practice. although i'd much rather be thrown in the deep end, just as i was for streetfighter and counterstrike, and i've turned out all the better for it.

so get ready to kick my butt on kai for a while yet

back on topic..

i have NTSC halo now, and had a great game with a few guys on Friday with a lot less lag than ive had in the UK in the past...

However i have played ntsc games before this where it was "freeze city" and the game was unbearable..

Its a handy resource to have both versions if you can Smile

but you have to be lucky to get a decent game..

Also, NMP only works with NTSC so once i get that goin i can play it with a mate of mine who only lives up the road Wink
