How about exploiting Xlink to the fullest and maybe play other games? Like good old Quake1X ? or maybe Quake 2x?
Sof2?!
If anyone are interested in playing other games than CS or Halo plese respond

Hey dude - i'm into the idea of playing Quake2!! i've got it on my xbox but haven't been able to use it on Kai yet because no-one else seems to want to .

Q2 Lets rock and roll, u guys do know the version supports all kinds of version of quake, i ported CTF and Eraser bot into my quake 2 on the xbox we can port in like rail arena and play.... |

hey Blucid - is there any special things i need to be doing to get those mods working? i've had a quick go at getting CTF going a while back but it didn't work and i'm still on the hunt for Eraser.

Yeah there is no keyboard for Quake2X (yet). About the mod installtion its pretty straight forward. I have the game on my hdd its one of the few games i got on my hdd. Just download the mods u want to play, then make a folder on your desktop and install the mods/maps into that folder. After ur done with that all u need to do is go to your Quake2X directory and put all those folders straight into the root dir of Quake2X just like the pc version of Quake2. Make sure u read the readme files cause some mods to work with others u need to put some files together. For example for CTF w/ Eraser Bot I installed the CTF mod and Eraser bot and then pak0.pak needed to be moved from the ctf folder to the Eraser bot folder. I did that and it worked ran a server on my pc with ctf mod and bots and joined with my Xbox. Im thinking of writing a whole turorial on it soon on my webite anyways. I hope this helps if not then plz wait for tut. |

Yeah - that makes alot of sense, i'll give it a blast tonight. Its just been so long since i've played around with Q2 on my PC i'd forgotten how to set it up properly with all the mods.

And i think a tutorial would be a great idea- esp to get more xbox players back into the idea of playing Quake2 online- i used to love playing that back in the day. It would be great to get a regular crowd back into it. |

Hi guys, are you still playing this great game Q2 ?
I'm new at XLink Kai and XBox stuff, but I played Q2 for a while and it would be great to frag someone overseas with an XBox Q2 !!
Please let me know if there is someone interested in play this game thru XLink-Kai.
