I have this problem .. more of a inconvienience ...
My Kai engine is on my router .. Now i usually start the PC UI .. gather up people , make arena , put my self in Host mode ..
but when i go to xbox , XBMC UI takes over ... and irrespective of if i go to Xlink icon or start halo 2 directly ... people can see my game .. I have to go back to my PC UI .. and chose Yes Im hosting now .. and people can see my game
???
Please someone clarify this |

Well just make it so XBMC doesn't take over by setting a stupid IP in Engine IP in the XBMC Kai settings. Run Halo 2 normally.
There *might* be a bug where your engine status (joining / hosting) is reset when XBMC takes over, but I doubt that. |

Dfunked .. thats not a solution .. Please can you confirm this so that i can take it up with XBMC people ... It gets really annoying |

I tried my best to read this as *not* being a solution, but it is.
Remember that Kai can have only 1 client program. It's either the one on the PC ór the one in XBMC itself. Setting the configuration to accept both will result on one of them to be shut down.
Make up your mind on which of the two you want to use and if you decide to use the client on the PC set the Kai Engine's ip-address to a non-existing ip address in your network. (like dfunked said) |
