I can play many games fine. But when I host wolfenstein and press play XBMC launches xbox live updater and then resets the xbox. I dont have xbox live either.

How can I tell XBMC to launch another XBE? I already removed the games folder from settings because I think that is where XBMC located the xbe.

totally clueless here...

Since your MS dashboard isn't patched, loading Wolfenstein tries to patch your original MS dash, which it's failing to do. Because default.xbe is always checking, then loading updater.xbe, only way around it would be to actually update your MS dash.

If you're using a mod, and the dashboard you use is not loaded from xboxdash.xbe, then you're fine to update it. You're fine to update it even if it is using that filename, but then when the chip is on and the XBox is turning on, it'll load the MS dash instead of Evox, Ava, or whatever you were using. That becomes annoying because you then need a boot up disk for Evox, Ava etc..

if you have the game on your harddrive you can also delete

dashupdate.xbe
update.xbe
downloader.xbe

for a total of around 60 megs .. adds up if u do it for all your games :]

Thanks,

I just did this for two games. I made sure I deleted exactly these three files. The games still run fine when executed from evox. However If I start XBMC, use KAI and press play for either of these games I no longer get the update message but I am back in Evox. What did I do wrong? It seems as if KAI doesnt launch default.xbe?

Should I delete the XBMC savegames?
