i cant get past this engine crap!

i open up kai and it just sits at the window saying "looking for kai engine..." wut the crap!! i've tried everything!! no1 responds to my help request!!...im so damn frustrated!! nothing works!!

wow .. take it easy .. your other help request was 15 minutes ago, no one is sitting here waiting for you to come along with a problem .. does the engine start when you load Kai? this would be the icon in the tray (by the clock) .. try going into the options (Kai Config) and make sure that launch engine and launch UI both have a check beside them ..

what .exe are you starting Kai launch, Kai config, Kai engine, or Kai UI
It sounds as if your just starting the UI you should try opening the Kai launch.

thank you for responding...i am very impatient and have been trying to get this to work for a few days...the engine starts and the icon comes on, both launch UI and launch engine are checked...i use kai launch to start it...

i had a prob exact same was using kai for a few days then 1 day turned on and cudnt get on it, all it said was searching for engine when the engine was in the taskbar it wud do this all nite if i let it i got no help but i did find out what the prob was, it was my norten blocking the user interface, i cudnt understand why as i say i had been using it with no probs at all so try that in your f wall look for, U I BLOCKED or something like that ok and dont let it get to u so much hope it helps u out c ya Very Happy

it usully is something very simple but overlooked

thanks to all who replied...

i got it working...McAffe firewall subscription was expired and i could not access any piece of it; it would just ask for me to renew subscription no matter what i clicked on...i thought since it was expired and it would not let me change nething it wasnt no longer blocking stuff...i just uninstalled the firewall feature and Kai works now...
