I got GT4 working online upstairs (PS2 and my PC both on the switch), but since the big ass TV is downstairs, I've tried to set it up there...
However, downstairs we have a router (E-Tech ADSL router), and the switch upstairs is connected to it. So we have 3 slots free on the router downstairs. I connected a laptop (running Kai) to it and of course the PS2. The laptop has no network card, but connects via a USB-to-Network thingy (Eminemt), this doesn't matter right?
So, I disabled the firewalls, port-forwarded port 30000 to the laptop, configurated Kai, but it doesn't detect the PS2 (connected to the same router). What's wrong here? Everything worked fine when I had the PS2 and my PC connected to the switch upstairs, maybe my router is the problem? My router has a built-in switch.
Btw, the laptop runs Windows 98. |
