Xlink wont see my xbox but what is wierd is it does nothing, it dosent even say 'failed to autoconfigure'.
I have tried a few things, winpap 3.0/3.1 rebooting when i need to. Disabling my firewall yet im still having the same problem of alot of people.
My wireless network wouldnt be anything to do with it would it? as its just my nic card and xbox used to auto configure.
If i have any problems joning or seeing games then i will look into my wireless network. But until xlink sees my xbox its not worth going that far.
P.S what ports would i need to forward for my firewall?
Cheers sirsmooth |

The PC running kai MUST BE HARDWIRED (unless you have your console plugged directly into the wireless pc.
How many times must it be said? (A lot of people have problems because thay don't feel they need to read or that they are some how in a diffrent situation)
You can pick any UDP port you wish. Just make sure you put the same port in KaiConfig as you do in your firewall/router. |

I got the xbox coming into my nic card and i got my wireless network going thru a different usb adaptor.
Is that not ok?
My understanding was that the xbox to pc could not be wireless.
My bad, well im not buying a new modem just to run kai |

Your setup should work fine - check the rest of the troubleshooting things, especially WinPCap threads..

Yeah - so he should be ok - I think.. if the xbox is hardwired to a NIC, and his net connection over the USB, he should be fine.

I think you can get smoe older versions at the WinPCAp site - http://winpcap.polito.it
The versions that people have most luck with on Kai are 3.0 and 3.0 I think, but since you tried those I suppose it might be worth a shot... |
