Congratulations! You've made it to the end of the road and you shouldn't have any problems. If you encounter problems in the future, you can follow this troubleshooting guide again, or post in the correct forum on the Official XLink Forums.

Problem not solved yet? Let's keep going then! Here are some final tips / guidelines for those who have everything working:

• Run the Kai Configuration. Tool (Windows users). Make sure 'Enable PAT' is unticked, 'Kai Deep Port' is set to 0, and the 'Normal Kai Use' profile is selected (unless you wish to use a dashboard to control the Kai Engine).
• If you notice that your network is unreachable in the future and you use a router with a port-forward, please be 100% sure that the port-forward is pointing to the correct local IP address (routers with DHCP can cause PC's to change their IPs after reboots).
• Remember to read the Acceptable Use Policy and adhere to it. Failure to comply *WILL* result in bans.

Advanced Troubleshooting

Step 7.

Now, enter Arena Mode (press the icon), navigate into an arena for a game you own, chat to some of the users, and try to join a game. Make 100% sure that the host of the game has their status set to 'HOSTING', and that other people are currently playing. Don't give up after one try. Try a private arena too (that's not passworded). Keep trying..

Were you able to play any games?

No, I don't see any games on my TV

No, I get a 'failed to connect' / 'network connection error' message when joining

Step 6.

Now press the icon. Turn on your console, put in a system link game and have it search for system link games. How you do this depends on the game you use.

Do you see your console detected?

No, it still says 'no consoles detected'

Step 5.

The next 2 questions assume you are using the Windows user interface (UI).

If you run Kai on a non-Windows OS, you can still use a Windows computer on your network to attach to the Kai Engine, even if it runs on a different OS. After logging in to the Windows KaiUI, press the icon and look for 'Network Reachable'. If you are unable to run the Windows kaiUI, you may ask somebody in Kai if they can see your ping or if your ping reports as 'Establishing'. If they tell you it says 'Establishing', select 'Not yet'.

Is your network reachable (as indicated by the UI)?

Step 4.

Have you connected your console to your home network and know it's configured correctly?

Step 3.

Have you downloaded and installed Kai for your Operating System?

No
I'm trying to use XBox Media Center (XBMC) to control Kai

Step 2.

Can you log in to the control panel to the right of this page?

No, I get the message 'please check your details'

Step 1.

Have you registered for an account?

No, I haven't signed up for an account yet
