Your Wifi Max should look like this:

Or Wifi Link, like this:

Get Zydas installer here:

The first thing you MUST do is to run the installer as administrator, with it running in Compatibility Mode for Windows XP Service Pack 3.

To do this, right-click on the installer(.exe which I have shortcutted to my desktop) scroll down and select 'Properties':

Next click on the 'Compatibility Tab':

In compatibility tab, 1st tick 'Run this program in compatibility mode for' and select 'Windows XP (Service Pack 3)'.

2nd, tick the box that shows 'Priviledge Level' so that it runs the program as an administrator and,

3rd, hit 'Apply' then 'OK'.

Now you can run the installer as per the Vista guide.

The chances are when you plug in your Wifi Max, it still won't install the right drivers automatically.

From here, in Device Manager, right-click on the (ZD1211B)IEEE 802.11 b+g USB Adapter and goto it's 'Properties' then select the 'Advanced' tab.

Scroll down to 'PSP Xlink Mode' and enable it:

Still in the adapters' properties, to check - click the 'Driver' tab, then 'Driver Details' and it should look like this:

With the adapter set-up, you'll now need to enable ICS (Internet Connection Sharing). To do this, select the sharing options in your LAN connection and share it whatever name your p/c gave to the Wifi Max connection.

a) Right-click on your network icon (bottom-right on taskbar) and go into the option 'Open Network and Sharing Center':

b) Then, click on the 'Connect to a Network' option:

c) Then find the Wifi Max's wireless network, in my case called 'Wireless Network Connection 3':

d) Then click on 'Connect':

Now if you have XLink Kai running close it and close the engine as well. Then Click Start, All Programs, XLink Kai, Configure Kai.

Your web browser should open and you should see this.

Now under the Network Adapter box. Click the drop down box and change it to (ZD1211B)IEEE 802.11 b+g USB Adapter Then down at the bottom check the box that says Follow PSP SSID Your screen should look like this.

Click the save button at the bottom of the config window. And Kai will restart and you will be able to login.

Now after you login at the top of the screen you will see a button that says Game Arenas. Click it.

Now if you get a connection lost screen and a pop up balloon says You are Unreachable check Port forwarding then follow this guide before going any further: Port Forwarding

Now once your in arena mode at the top of the screen click the button that says Metrics.

Now the only things that need to be assessed here are. Network Reachable Has to say YES. If it does not by the time your reading this your Kai will close and you will need to refer to

The next thing to look at is Ethernet Adapter It has to say (ZD1211B)IEEE 802.11 b+g USB Adapter. Then scroll down a bit to the bottom and you should see under found consoles your PSP and its MAC address. If you just see the MAC address and no picture you should be fine to play.

Now Navigate to the arena of the game you want to play. And join a private arena. Join the guild hall and you should see players on your PSP. If you do not then exit the guild hall then reenter the guild hall and refresh the ZDWLan Utility and then double click on your PSP again then you should see them on your psp.

VOILA THE END now you can enjoy playing your PSP on XLink Kai. Have Fun!!!!
